Why We Do We Make Quilts?

Learning free-motion quilting has been transformative, allowing me to create heartfelt projects like "Amanda's Comfort Quilt," a fidget quilt that eased my mother's anxiety during her struggle with dementia. Despite warnings from experienced quilters that free-motion quilting was too difficult, I was determined to master it to finish quilts, use stencil designs, and save money. This skill has enabled me to complete meaningful quilts for Ugandan orphans, Israeli newborns, nursing home seniors, NICU babies, and many others. I'm so glad I didn’t let fear hold me back.
